I’ve worked with dozens of seo companies. I’ve worked with countless freelance providers on forums and job sites. Me and my VA’s can only handle so many things so outsourcing a good chunk of my online promotions is a must.
I’ve been working with people from the Hoist, mainly Billy, Jamie and Penny for almost 2 years. I haven’t met the others yet but I don’t want to talk to too many people. I started working with them in 2010 with their old Up package, they’ve changed and updated through the years and changes too which i like very much. I look at their Twitter from time to time to check up on updates, discounts and stuff. They usually state if there’s an algorithm update too which is what I like most.
I’ve went through each major package overhaul and I just love how they keep adapting. From their logos, to the site, to the packages and addons, I’m really happy that they could continue to improve.
I mainly use them for promoting my sites, old site that I haven’t touched for a while or new sites that need some changes to their link portfolio. I choose the Rocket most of the time but I have 4 (it’s 4 or 5 i think) custom subscriptions with the new Full Hoist for my bigger sites so I’m pretty happy with that.
What I love the most of the new full hoist packs is simple, I get traffic from yahoo, I get links from article directories that were dumped in the initial Panda and now on the rise again (so by the time it rises up, I’ll benefit from the traffic too) then the Private sites are also wonderfully mixed up with good custom videos to boot! That’s unadvertised by the way, you wont notice them if you don’t pay attention.
As for results, I see results, that’s why I continue to work with them, plain and simple. No linking program is for everyone, I’m sure they’ve had their share of people that got bad results, because all companies do. What I’d suggest to people that read this and plan to order packages from the Hoist and similar services is simple, know your SEO. If you know your competition, if you know how to do SEO, if you know your keywords, then using a linking service will only help you. Never expect too much if you don’t even know your market and competition nor how to properly do SEO. NEVER EVER look at one service to be an end all, be all thing. If it was that easy then you really didn’t need to learn about SEO.
I have suggested some changes and I’m sure they are working hard to incorporate my suggestions. I know they are busy handling thousands of orders monthly while a team is dedicated to research and testings so I’m not nagging them about my preferences.
They have informed me of the plans for the new versions of the Up and Rocket packages and how they will be mixing unique content properties into the mix like their latest Full Hoist. It’s hard to squeeze down the price point if you offer unique content because they don’t use rehashed articles at all. Although I don’t really think unique content is a must when it comes to all your backlinks, I think their goal is to get these properties to take over some positions and gather traffic for the main site so while these grow, they get more authority and power which benefits your site in the long run.
Know how to do SEO properly. Mix their services with your own linking processes (or other services) and you will do great.
